    Second of the eighteen children of Thomas Short of Birmingham. The mother of Thomas Short, junior, was his father's first wife, nâee Harriet Noake (1800-1847). Thomas Short, junior, was himself twice married, first to Anne Phillpot (died 1880) and secondly (in 1882) to Marion Devaran. There was no issue of the second marriage.

The mother of Thomas Short, junior, was his father's first wife, nâee Harriet Noake (1800-1847). Thomas Short, junior, was himself twice married, first to Anne Phillpot (died 1880) and secondly (in 1882) to Marion Devaran. There was no issue of the second marriage.
