Notes |
- An original director, with his uncle by marriage, Francis Saxham Elwes Drury, of Francis Peek & Co. Ltd. which was formed in September 1913 to act as Secretaries and Agents for a number of rubber, tea and coffee (and other products) plantation companies in the Dutch East Indies (mainly in Java and Sumatra). Wilfred Daukes held his directorship for 39 years until his retirement in 1952 and was elected Chairman in the year before he retired. In recognition of his many years' service in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) he was appointed Commander of the Order of Oranje Nassau by Queen Juliana of The Netherlands in 1951. John Robert Ekins, a son-in-law of Wilfred Daukes, was appointed a director of Francis Peek & Co. Ltd. in 1960.
